Blonde moribund wonders in awe,
Are you not overcome with thoughts?
Dark corners of the mind overrun,
What is more wholesome, bit parts,
Or the dishcloth wrung out?

Mob, tortoiseshell guitar,
Small, popular orchestra.
Long, golden, charmed,
Large parts of the audience hate who you are,
Hate your politics and hate your forms.

Meet under the golden arches,
Maybe as you see the darkness,
You'll see nobody around and see you're wrong.
Where were your brothers while you were gone?

I guess to a sorcerer, blonde, it matters not,
People treated like common wristwatches,
Only useful to you when you wind them up.

quite literally
they cannot spill out of my mouth into the toilet bowl fast enough

green, neophyte, insensate

swirling around in the clear, shallow water, they almost look like they are swimming

ancient, ferric, turpentine

its midnight on sunday afternoon and the morning never felt so far away

verily, salt, halcyon

pulling the lever, they swirl away, the letters sloshing together into a murky soup

gestalt, vermilion, fear

they turn into equations with no solutions when i bring my hand away from my mouth, wiping

ouroboros, nineteen, baseless

i know better than to brush my teeth

golden, gale, corridor

i know better than to go back to bed right after

demilune, murmur, mirror

linoleum, throat, nightgown

listless, lucid, dreamer

I hear your voice upon the wind.
It calls me, to come to you
I follow the sound unable to resist like a Siren call to sailors at sea.
Your eyes meet mine.
The eyes of a lioness who wishes to devour me
You pounce upon me and bring me to the ground onto your bed of lilac and lavender
I am helpless in your jaws about my neck.
Your fangs pierce deep into my flesh.
Your jaws crush my last resistance.
Your golden flaxlike mane falls upon me like waves of soft sea mist
In my mouth and in my eyes, I look through the golden net which binds me
Your lips find mine.
Your tongue darts into my mouth and upon my face with the kisses of my submission.
Your kisses go down my chest with your golden hair softly following behind.
Your kisses rise back to my face with your hair all about me forming the net of my capture.
Two breasts land upon my body like twin fawns playing in a meadow.
They move and glide up and down my body.
I reach to grab them, so smooth and soft
You are upon me now and our bodies move like the sway of the trees in the wind.
I am in you.
You have devoured me.
There is no more me, only you my Calypso.

these are the golden years, the golden day, she says
like the sunrise or the sunset? i say
both. or neither. she says

do you miss it? she says
your youth, i mean.
i know. i miss it. i am still young. it has been torn from my chest and weighs on my hips and i miss it. i say

how was your birthday? she says
better than before, i say.
before what?
the moment it became my birthday.
were you gifted anything? she says
on which birthday? i say
all of them. or none. she says

do you think we could preserve this moment, cast it in gold or bronze or iron? she says
no.
who said that?

i pick up the mirror and drag it home.

ten, nineteen, two thousand and one.

As I see
World's fire
No end soon

Together
We are strong
Fight fire

Arise now
Golden light
Great beyond

World of hope
Happiness
Full of love

Laughter here
Forever

Diablo II,
Why make me wait for games?
My fate lament, give it away,
Give it away, give it away now.
Fleas of the carpet,
People of the parking lot,
Can you not?
Trying to make something,
They stand about, puffy,
Chests golden, coffers copper,
Rusted in their velour valor,
Failing to soil of fewer flowers.

Poster of an omen, toking,
Dreaming by a plastic ocean,
Most fast forward, hopeful;
King of post, tasks chosen,
Still lives Midas, hands golden.

Lapland where they dig holes,
Smoke weed and dance poles,
Kings of the foal, antsy, cold.
The older they grow, though,
He loses his power, cowers,
Curses feeling, eats pantry.
Banishes his people of necessity,
Carelessly manages feeble himself,
Paddles the plastic ocean, relieved;
Departs common and flowers nothing.

Amateur poet, ultimate,
Heroic, stoic, slowest,
Everything rhymed about,
Hopeful of inchoate.
Chum of the lake, think,
Who is the wake for?
Dead men living pale,
or those living,
Mouth agape, ailing,
Flailing their limbs,
Scene akimbo,
Fare unanswered,
Meter fake.

So they take what is mine,
Question pondered,
What is life plastered?
Humanity mastered,
Time honored,
or is it a last laugh,
before dying afterward?

Poets lie yet find alms,
Measured footsteps bald,
Words lifelessly clever,
Heart hard to hold palm;
Old arms to old arms,
Adages stolen loved upon;

Bard holy, arch golden,
To carve lonely,
Barns beholden,
Nothing nobel.
Par normally, like poultry,
To starve colts.

Ark art, Swan gone,
Dark garb, lark fawned,
Opposite of his mind,
He finds laughter,
Chapter after chatter,
Chancellor gone;
He defines pattern,
An afterthought.

Materialism shoddy,
Outlook potty,
In a world of rocks,
I wish for a mouth chalky,
Ground filled with chalk.
Curve my bell aptly,
Lord of the shinebox,
Grant me world gaudy,
Ending with gold trim,
Upon a golden hem,
Golden sheets, golden beds.
Golden nails,
Golden boards
Golden floors.
Wife scenic,
Life ironic,
Post Modernism.

I screw up, just before the exit,
Re-schedule my days upon lighting torches,
Renewing an old love for delightful corpses.
See to it that the girl is pleasur'd.

No golden god summoned will even touch her,
No other lover to serve under,
I sure shit the bed on this one.
Previewing future proves absolute doom.
My wife loves the taste of blood,
I spend my life providing it to her.

I eschew words like schlep,
I schedule my days upon lighting torches,
Renewing an old love for delightful chorus.
I see to it that the girl is kempt.

I make sure no golden meal even touch her,
No other lover,
I sure made my love for her seem abundant.
Previewing future proves nothing but true love.
My waifu loves the taste of cheeto dust,
You know, when we kiss and stuff.

A Week Away

A week away
A cottage in the Cotswolds
Solitary single socks
All in a line
On parade

Hands like hooks
Feet that throb
Barms and breezes
In Blackpool

Fortunes found and told
Tramlines
Scarring the seascape
Soaring seagulls
Hawk-like hands
Flaying feet

Seagulls that screech
Mayhem in Mablethorpe
Being Stumped in Boston
As to which way to go
Kiss me quick
Squeeze me slow hats

For edible orifices
Wonka's Willies
Trams travelling
Towards the Tower
And down the Golden Mile
From Fleetwood

North and South Piers
Sandcastles
Big and small
Towards Town
Postcard pictures
Picture postcards

Pencil drawings
By computer
The Mere at Marton
Limousines
And lycra-clad mirth-makers

Mobster's metal machine
Made from a Mini
National Savings & Investments building
Blocking the breeze
And the light
Standing in it's shadow
Comfortable caravans

Laughter from Leighton
Jokes from Jamie
Sparkling grape juice
All the way from Grimsby
Via the M18

Panoramic views
From the highest motorway
In Britain
Deep dales
High Pennine peaks
In Yorkshire

Rain and sunshine
Traffic build-ups
In Blackburn
Blues in Burnley
Families fighting

Four-pint pitchers
Of foaming ale
Mussels and whelks
Oysters and orange squash
Cockles and crabs

People driving
Dangerously long miles
Without falling faint
Of fatigue
Passion in the Pennines
The castle moat

Golden sands
Tilting telegraph poles
Going up
And coming down
Steep steps
To silver sand

Shorelines stretching
As far as the eye
Can see
Whirling wind turbines
Whitewashed windmills
Scattered over the Northwest frontier

Unfurled flags
Flying furiously
In a westerly wind
Cod and curry sauce
Pen'orth o'scraps
And pots of mushy peas
Wrapped in writing

Mablethorpe Messenger
Blackpool Gazette
Cotswold Courier
Yesterday's news
Today's chip wrappers
Tomorrow's waste.
