I saw through the night,
My eyes, always on you,
Instead of the knife.

Wings, wild across the white,
Heart still filled with horror,
So, on and on - and out of sight.

Naivety, leads to fighting,
Like pencil leads to writing.
Wings, used to fly,
Like fathers are to leaving,
No need to try.

When will I recover?
Never.

Sunrise, purple,
Orange, yellow.

Flying colours,
I give up.

Inside my person,
I've discovered,
Lies destruction.

Round mouth shouts,
War cry, smoke to sky,
Really? I'm quite surprised,
You changed with the times,
Now, you find the fight?

You are cold, white,
Like an old jazz style,
How do you stay warm at night?

I am bound down: stakes, ropes, ties...
Beneath the giant lies.
A man with giant lies about him,
A giant in a human size.

I am found down, shivering upon the tiles,
Beneath the skin a person lies,
A man with giant lies about him,
As a spider consumes the flies,
Pious continual, polite about it.

Does that make it right?
Well, let me fly around a bit,
And with delight I get to live again.

Groundhog, I never fly away,
Into the earth, frantic I dig.
What for tomorrow,
What for today?

More dirt upon skin,
Claws upon a fist,
Fear is it never ends.
What for tomorrow?
What for today?

The world awaits,
Green to brown,
Brown to grey.

Take from me, hero:
I run off to the distant,
Chased by the snake.

Black smoke, campfire grows.
Active social life, animal bones,
Colder over time, as foretold,
Feeling about ears, nose,
Nothing, so what more?

Vampires, see it all,
To know red best,
All days spent about the home,
Mind a tiresome tempest.

I provide solace,
Meaning over time changes.
Strangers though can too.
I provide doctrine,
Meaning over time changes,
Strangers though will too.

Vampires, to coffins,
Kisses on the neck,
I would draw upon it.

Violet, Auburn,
Inner strength,
Flying monster.

Thinking of exposure, orange,
Are you coming over? Oh...
From emotion to hypnosis,
Light comes from the phone.

Talking frozen yogurts, awards,
Terrifying rollercoasters, poets.
Light comes from the phone,
Orange how the redness shows,
Awe, gathering rosebuds below.

When I wrote about you it showed,
Both you and I know it,
What else do I love?

Suppose you had died,
What else would I have?
Hope you might fly home?
Well, I paid for it anyway...
Light comes from the phone,
Blindness from my brain,
Tiredness of fate.

Like edamame on a plate,
Somehow, I hoped for more,
Even if it was more the same

Blue, green,
In between,
To me?
It's everything.

But they only see through me,
Shield to shield, grit teeth,
Never can I achieve peace.
It never appealed to me,
Supposedly.

But, little does,
Just a few blue themes.

So, to routine...
For you, more meaning.
Cold reading: "horses,
leeches".

Vernacular dances,
In between:
Lavender, Lapis,
Cerulean.

Javelins, catchers,
In between:
Distance, anger,
Foolishness.

But, that's not how they saw me.
Target practice, fresh meat,
Free of lines like double basses,
Yet to see it's own selfish strings.

Yet, upon a blue sky, I fly and sing.

Blue, pale sky.

What did I miss?
The sale price?
The halfway line?
Brick by bloody brick,
They desalt mines.

Did you just move away,
Get killed, then live again,
Just to shiver in place,
Wither and die?
Were you better off hunting diamonds?

Forgive my writing,
And erotic sins,
For which upon this wit I build.

Always right,
Above, they fly,
Always white,
Always wine.

Blue cranes from blueprints,
Selfish, and high.

If fights ensue,
It's not of me, delights, or truth,
So why stand beneath?
At least in my mind the blue is me.

What of peacocks in the spring?
What of cheese in the crumbles?
What of resolve and my shivering?
Certainly, I can feel these things.
It's not beneath me,
Like red sees croplands,
Like rubber and tarmac.

Like green sees the sea: blue.
Ironically, foolish for free verse.
Traverse the world, but ask me,
Just remove lines, write peace.

Irish flute, life renews,
Fights needs two,
Then favour winning,
Like red says to greens.

I wish inside, though, blue remains.
Enticing eyes, confusing wings,
Flying, seems a bit childish to me,
As does to peacocks in the spring.

I can't fly, I buy a plane, afraid,
Is it I, or the world that changed?
Doing, but why? Moon in the sky,
The music has died away:
Civilized, civil eyes describe,
My cymbals, rides and chains.
Time changes, I stay behind, afraid,
I can't fly, I can't buy a plane,
Or move to a space in my mind,
Tiny place, stimuli, to hide my pain.
Like shrines to a saint, myself,
I can overprice, play faces like chess,
Trite, then replace with tech.
In my camp by the lake,
Water arrests the trees.
Wolf, that tames itself,
Realizes little of anyone else,
Sees no bigger dreams,
Eats the best, but what for me?

Inside its silent eyes lies science,
'Mine', like a child it cries, looks outside.
Giant's eyes wide, where is his gigantic pile?
His highest pride defiled by tyrants,
Find me a guy who wouldn't sigh.
Final smiles, like wind can fly by,
like time it flies by, like kites.
Like a demon the giant tries,
Though like giant piles of hay,
May blow away in the wind,
Giants below may just might,
Or unjust, but ultimately he decides.

A cypher for poets and authors:
Simple science, titled novel,
A game, decoded by tyrants,
After speaking, what is laughter?
A bird sings to his father:
After flying, what is higher?
Looks to the sky for answers.

The time has come to pass.
The hours sound the chime.
How do you write such pleasing words
that our time has come to rhyme?

The smiles that show your heart.
The eyes that calm the sea.
How do you find the time to love
all of the things that rhyme with me?

And just like me your bird is free
to spread your wings and learn to fly.
What is the cause that makes you flee
each time that life comes passing by?

We are just a plan that life is making.
The first romance that’s ours to share.
The time has come to rhyme what matters,
within the heart that bleeds despair.

Come to me now and follow my dreams
that uncover the pieces born of the past.
The time has come near to make a new change,
and untether the slave you have held in your grasp.

With each moment I write I am thinking of you.
And every word that I rhyme you are near.
It is my hope to rekindle a time we once knew,
before the heart of true love disappears.

Lady Luck please don't let me down,
I got three more months till I leave this desert town
Here I sit up on my post keepin the wolves at bay
They may think their top dog here, but now they are my prey.
Lady Luck please don't let me down,
You've got me this far, two months till I leave this ol shantytown
Here I walk on the prowl for snakes down before me.
With each step I take I clear the ground behind me.
Lady Luck please don't let me down,
Just one more month til I see my ol home town.
Here now I fly high so I can look for danger up ahead.
My badge of courage now soaked red,
Lady Luck why'd you let me down,
Now I lay six feet underground.

If one could fly away,
Where could you go,
Besides the sky to stay?

If one could bike,
Cycle into the skyline,
Left foot fine,
Right foot aligned,
Thoughts fill my mind,
The blind can read it.

When you were fine,
and I took the time,
When you were mine,
I looked life away.
When you're five,
You say goodnight,
and you hope the same,
for your final days.

When you lie awake,
Were the choices you made right:
My private plane,
My rightful place?
My silent rage.
She says you're mine,
To another guy,
Would I mind?
I mean, I made no complaint.

No matter where, more savage men,
They know end, Lord knows them,
Nothing but storm and unrest.

No pants, unkempt,
But at least yourself.
One could fly to a moon,
To talk flags in the end.

If I were a kite,
That could fly away,
with my only child,
Or decide otherwise,
I think I would stay.

"Oh, weep for Vietnam! The sick dreams

Of passion-winged Ministers of War

Who sent boys in, who never living streams

Nor ripe rice paddies crossed to get their star.

Their Draft which made men fodder, blundered not—

Wonder no more, tho' sixty thousand slain,

But fly there, where they fell; and mourn their lot

Round their cold hearts, where, after their sweet pain,

They ne'er will gather strength, or find a home again.''

~ After Shelley, ELEGY TO KEATS
