Narrow perceptions,
Narrow affections,
Despite prayers, attention,
Yellow shell for protection.

State your objections,
Friends for protection.
But in your profession,
You need a director,
For help, or whatever,
For the show you live in.

And they have their agenda,
Sex, successors, buzz levels,
Namely, making you famous.

Yet, if you know contentment,
Can you ask god,
Inside somewhere, is there yellow?
I feel life swallowed me whole,
Until I crack, cry and bellow,
Like whales beneath the waves.

There's no corset for age,
Inevitably, masks degrade,
What cannot be truly said,
Like what is inside of a bank?

I think:
Narrow focus, quests for fame.
Yellow, orange, redder grapes,
Yellow locusts, yellow cobras,
Despite the sweetness, slaves,
Yellow, love, and disgust of stage.

It's the red that keeps you away.
It's the red that keeps you awake,
It's red that made me ashamed,
Less sweet and prearranged.

There is no chorus of praise,
Inevitably, that's an act of faith.
Like no corset abound my waist,
Only orange, celibacy and rage.

However, It's yellow up for debate,
Yellow in me sees people change,
Yellow, to me sits out by the stage,
Yells out in unison to the play.

I'm sorry, I fell asleep,
Black, eyes see, I feel...
Yellow, what can ever be?
Like a child, I dream... of,
Yellow, saffron, cream,
White outside yellow.

Like an egg, given life,
Tell us, what should it be?
Just like rust on the beach,
Yellow, contained in white?
I'm sorry, I fell asleep...

What of the darkness?
You still sleep at night,
Despite what you speak,
Yellow, what is it you see?

I'm sorry, I fell asleep.
I cannot be there, I feel...
Yolk: mustard, garlic,
Like darkness inside me,
White on the outside,
Bizarre shades, and yellow.

Tastes of bitterness, Yellow.
Tempered sweetness, Yellow,
Bleeding colors would shroud it,
Keep them in jars in my bedroom.

Beyond every turn, gentle dreamers,
Be not astounded, my equal,
Yellow inspires better people.

But who inspires me? Fourth?
Weapons, either people or god.

How long does this rope reach?
Pull my long leash, teach me of art.

Pleasure seekers, teach me of bars,
Present evils, second reasons to want.

Granola and oats, less to the fawn.
Helpless creature, apparent reason,
Lemon squeezers reached the top.
In each hand they grab your heart,
Tastes of bitterness, Yellow,
Tempered sweetness, Yellow,
Bleeding yellow, they squeeze every drop,
Bottle you up, put yellow in a jar.

Like Sepia,
Despite what I see,
Also some yellow.
Color the frame retro,
Like scene girls, afterward,
I think, where do I go?

Despite what I feel,
Altos bellow.

Also her form,
Lace, and leaves,
Never ending war.
Storybooks,
Where are you for?
Made bedrooms?

Despite what I see,
Euphoria.
Despite the blue and orange,
I see yellow.

Like the whole world is sepia,
And made in her form.

Despite what I feel,
About capitalization, ownership,
I see shadows at home,
Because I see by myself, alone,
Despite what I feel.

She walks the tightrope,
Calm as the sea,
God decides not popes,
Nor who is to be,
She decides.

Death, I'm melting,
Ice to the skin, white,
I hope my red is ending.

Where is my yellow,
Beneath gangrene?
And what is the blue,
Something to never see?

Death, I'm coming,
Touch my skin, white,
I know my time is ending...

Tightrope walking, thin,
This, is more of a kids thing...
I think...

Yellow, and a bit of blue,
Both, I, and you. Purple,
Lilac, I just care not for it.

Just like you never cared for me,
Or any of the things that I thought.
Fetch mother, friends, for comfort.
Tell your co workers, or consort.

I, no longer for dramatic concert,
Agriculture of the hallway, march,
July, august or months of autumn,
Yellow, burst into skies of orange.
See If I toss and turn about it.

Like, he drives a porche, owns gold,
Fire and opal in his coat pockets.
Like, the eyes of horses see god,
They see not much beyond carrots,
Understand little of soap, clothes.
Like, maybe you cared for poems,
Little for poets, less even for prose.

Gold ochres, yellow turns to orange,
But the yellow never changes in you,
Does it?

Thorn forest, there grows roses.
Though tulips, begonia warn you,
The world is full of your kin,
Thoroughbred horses,
Who rub their backs in shit.

You are a squid that inks, then drinks it.
I never was no poet, caged like a rabbit,
Trapped, nor boxed with lines, unknowing.
You are a skunk, stinks, and eat begonias.

So, though two lips beg on, like au jus,
You toot, toot toot, greasy after the booze.
I've seen a world full of your kin: Fools...
Whose blue oceans brown in pollution,
Tulips by piss puddles, without allusion.

You are a fun person, is my conclusion,
Maybe red can change to an orange,
Blue, though, can never be less blue,
You can never really be a better person,
Just accept yourself, I love you.

In Her Dreams

Everyday she grew more cynical,
Forewarned in the way he spoke.
'What makes trees grow?
Speaking indignantly?
Lazy, form english is what bees know.
Maybe there is more, maybe not.
Leaves, and lace upon her form,
Leers and mistakes on a forum,
Leaves and paces about a home.
Lady Clare, is this what you wish for?

Mais oui, upon meeting, she says,
but may we not once she sees him again.
She begs, making peace, but, maybe not.
What is under the stars, outside of the bar,
Yet above us all? In her mind, her.
But, actually, God.
And he sees her like I see her:
Alone by herself, just of her mom.

Lo, girl, grate your feet, arms to nothing,
Cognizant, you can see what's coming.
So, use a word to cut deeper, I mean,
Maybe there is more, maybe not...
Say please, and release the lions...
If a cognate speaks of alm, as always,
Bet a fool falls, autumn again, as always,
Winter follows.

Bees, on their belly, in a playful sense.
Wallows about woods and streams.
Striped appearance, demeanor, feelings,
He exits the scene with grace and dignity.
Asking the same, but bees scream, race,
As always, it's just the way things be.

Swallow a mouth full of eggs, and honey,
Forward, fundamentally things are different.
Not just you and me, for everyone that sees us.
The courts just take up space, mostly useless,
And friends never show up to court you, bee,
They treat you differently.

You are less than me, because you are less than nothing,
She says, and places her hands to the sun.
Youth burning away at her bloodied stumps,
Speaking in fear of a beast that runs, jumps,
Eating the bunnies she dreams about...

All the things he wants, the things he loves,
Of all things, he flaunts, to fools in the bar.
He feels his playthings belong at home in a box.
Amongst drawn straws, he stands like the water,
And so does his daughter, and her daughter,
They will never know a child without a scar,
Who will never see an adult full of laughter.

The sweet smell, is all the gardenia in the yard,
Despie his greed, they keep growing tall.
Despite what he sees, and is appalled by,
Between the mirror and the wall,
Is Athena and Cordelia, and appearances.

She is nonheterogeneous, considerate,
So, like lavender she stays with the wall.
But really, these are just things he thinks,
Knowing little, choosing again, rolls dice,
He lost.

And she takes every piece of his flesh from the bone with a knife, like god.

They say, love is fair,
But then, what for free?
Birds and bees, they explain,
Saying mostly ends,
Giving little means.
A friend, dear, a branch, tree.
When they speak they talk of weight,
Everything they feel.

Then they say, live laissez-faire,
Paint the walls of red and greens,
They hope you speak their language.
Incentives and dreams, hopes of things.
But what divides boxes and squares,
Fishes and streams, them and me?
Is it a line or the right to be?

Speak freely, breathe freely,
Easy, people say it should be,
From a mouth that releases,
Full of pleased flesh and teeth.
But if they had one wish left,
It would be for me to never be.

Well, that's sweet.

But I know what that means,
Go ahead, feel your feelings.
Just know, there is no you and me.

'I just wish, with all the time I have left',
As she squeezes her fists, laments,
Her eyes see ideas she never said,
Sadness bookends her existence.

She knows what she is, and lies,
She thinks she knows what's best,
But she is losing her desire for life.

I just wish, like all the cows she loves,
She would fight and fawn over me for once.
The person she sees staring into the sky,
It seems she likes, but she rarely sees herself.
Mostly other men, me, and occasionally, marquee lights.

She thinks it's for the best, I'm sure.

The person she reveals herself to be,
As the ocean fares, she holds against,
My love can only take so many hits,
She says, as she sets the table,
For two people, but never herself.

She says in the end, it's for the best.

What happened to the things she liked?
She thinks to herself in a flight,
Reminded of a dream, desires,
Meets someone else and tries.

Time is a god of fire, however,
So it takes and destroys her,
Inside first, then outside.

What she does with her life,
It's none of my concern,
Fans in the crowd fight amongst themselves,
Not with players they revere and beheld.
I think I know what's best, but in the end,
I knew very little of what I said,
Even less of the outcomes she had.

So, who am I, to wish?

Compare deceased, compare diseases,
Civil registry, never ending dreams.
Quiet, discontented tree:
Questions vex me silent,
Why do we drink of selfish need?
Why do we eat to reddish green?
Why do they scream your scaring me,
While I achieve new levels of self deceit?
It responds, about roots and leaves,
Tools and people, fools and fees.
It's beyond me to understand.

Again indeed.

Only man writes with a pen,
Ire infinite, to the final syllable.
A point most misunderstand:
Life is not miracles, appearances,
Science fiction or analyzing images,
It's mostly the wheres and whens,
Indeeds said again, friends you miss.
Like all the pyramids get built,
You'll find they went brick by brick.
Like kids, chimes in the wind,
Ideally they play without worry,
Not re-examine life endlessly,
Like a firing squad that never hits.
Like a chime without another,
It takes only one to be lonely,
Two people to live.

Hair recedes, favour leaves,
Ferris wheels and screams,
Once again, the tree speaks,
This time about seasons,
Blues and greens,
Views and seeds,
You open your own mouth, freely,
Someone else's dreams.
Again indeed.
A mirror responds vaguely,
Instead of self reflection sees,
Things that terrify,
Even when they close their eyes and they sleep.

One could compare their life to a sheep,
Sheppard, or favoured elite.
What one eats someone decides,
Where one sleeps someone else decides,
Who one sees is limited, they cry.
But they compare to a bar too high.
Then with their time, belies, nevers, freezes.
Feelings of timidness, cheapness, lies,
Triangles you hope to avoid thinking,
Inevitably though you need drink.
You need some chips, think about it.
You need a horse to ride to the store,
Because you're lazy as shit.
So I guess just hope for the best,
But also go for it.

Again, Indeed.

Sitting outside the shop on a cloudy May afternoon, my hand scrawls on the back of a receipt
a list of the aspects of myself:

- the moles in morse code down the side of my face ($4.99)
- the scars on my leg in bumpy braille ($12.76)
- the skin covering my knuckles, shining where it has split so many times over ($29.97, sale price)
- the soul filled with self-loathing, boiling, bubbling over the rim ($10.19)
- my spine, doubled over and bent backward ($17.22, CLEARANCE)
- the effort I put into eject all but the smallest parts of myself
as a collection of trinkets, an amalgamation of dust bunnies ($0.99)

I must have picked these up, absentmindedly, through my time in the shop. Where can I put these back? I didn't want them. Why did I pay for them, pulling out my wallet in a daze? I never knew they existed. I must have entered a girl and left a much older woman. How long was I standing underneath the humming lights?

I crumple up the scratch paper and toss it in the bin as the sun waves from the overcast.

If I could, I would take my grey for your gray,
My grave for your grave, but in the end I will fail.
Take my blade and slay your beasts, hero.
Even if all you see are beasts and famous people,
Not beings from which you take a piece.
In fear we never speak, like ancient egypt,
People change, things remain the same for me.

You aspire for some greater freedom,
Perhaps, from up there you can label people,
Teach them who should be sold as slaves.
Maybe you can take those taken pieces,
Build back the things you took from me.
Gain more favour and speak loquacious,
But gone are the days where you heard me speak,
Gone are the days of our walks on the beach,
Because even long ago I was but memories.

Things have changed, besides the people,
Weight and age mostly,
But when I see your face,
You want an escape, I can see it.
A smile that lies on its face,
But your heart plain as day.
Rather than three hours too soon,
One minute late

Once in a lifetime event,
Arrives by themself,
A winding stare,
Polite requests, tired guests,
Inside the knife twists.

How can I make this about myself?
Fits, detest in the form of comments,
Regrets, pride, lissome denial, hits.
How can I make this about myself?
They think, screaming into the abyss,
How can I make this about myself?
Complaints, debates about nonsense,
Speculation about arrangements,
Coughing, several games maudlin,
Talking about options freely.
Providence.

The final act, the lion dances,
Forgone reactions, lying,
Along with crying, antics.
They exclaim their passions,
As does the crowd.
Again they feel the knife twists,
As they are thrown to the ground.

Swordsman, go home!
Forests shall be no more,
Our taste for war is gone,
Favoured trees have grown.
Nobles shall be no more,
No new kings be proclaimed,
Of all her princes, gone,
Her world led astray.

Open doors, open forms,
Cold, Enourmous castles,
Forts, or formal courtyards.
Informal castes, people,
Making walls, floors, or ceilings.
It matters where you stand, to the boards.

Suppose also, toward unknown,
Battlefields always need a war,
Despite reform, broken bones,
Foreign loans, foreign ownership,
Moral codes or mortal blows.
For it heeds no appeal,
Not even for their souls.

Dinner for four, e un quarto
However, foremost, they see trolls.
A photo's floorboards, reasons for war.
Yet they sit aside and hope for resolve,
Fear in their heart they hope to ignore.

A rabbit runs free, in the past,
Toward nothing it finds meaning.
Fish of streams, pivot teeth,
Laughter, tongue chatter, sea.
By the brine they find peace,
And man, king of beasts.

Man forms groups,
Parts in two, like lips,
The bartender and you.
Glass tightly in a grasp,
Like a woman's clasp,
Like a rabbit in a trap,
Wiggle dance, calls,
Nobody calls back.

Like man, cash advanced,
Wiggle dance, calls,
Calls, nobody calls back.
That man can run like a rabbit,
Dance like a rabbit,
Hears like a rabbit,
Fears the language of diagrams,
Candles and passwords.
He describes freedom, devoid of it's traps,
Talking about assholes out of sadness and anger.

He tries to understand, too foolish in banter,
Expanding his mind with standards that matter,
His reaction barely examined, rather managed,
Inside he feels his wiggles, the dance begins,
What can exist, he thinks as a passing thing,
Kicks and springs his feet, never hears a ring.
